Pomelo Paradis opens with pink grapefruit and Calabrian mandarin, two citrus materials that Atelier Cologne's cologne absolue format captures with unusual persistence. Black currant sharpens the bright accord with a dark-fruit edge before jasmine softens the transition into the heart. Petitgrain threads through with a woody-green quality that keeps the composition from reading as purely sunny. Vetiver in the base gives the whole fragrance an earthy depth that extends the grapefruit's presence long past what a standard eau de cologne could manage.
