Why We Carry This

We carry it for the plum and cypriol collision in the opening, a genuinely uncomfortable pairing that resolves into something rich instead of clashing, proof the house lets two notes fight it out before they settle.

Character

Plum runs sweet and almost overripe against cypriol, a smoky, bitter root note that smells more like scorched wood and old leather than anything floral, and that friction is the whole point of Opulence. Violet and jasmine soften the heart, but cashmeran keeps a musky, skin-warm undertone running beneath them so it never turns powdery.

Boadicea the Victorious doesn't publish a perfumer credit for this one, unusual for a house that names its noses on other releases. The base leans hard on sandalwood, frankincense, and moss, dense enough that this wears better in cold weather; the plum-cypriol opening can smell almost bruised on hot skin, which won't suit everyone.
