Then oud and incense arrive together and the composition's character becomes clear: this is a night fragrance in the tradition of church incense and darkened rooms. Damask rose in the heart softens the incense accord without neutralizing it, and the nutmeg-cinnamon combination keeps the spice register present through the mid-stage. Ambergris and sandalwood in the base give the incense a warmth that holds close through the evening.
