Pimento berries and black currant open with a spiced-fruit quality that moss immediately darkens, the earthy accord pulling the composition downward from the first moment. Labdanum and balsam fir in the heart add a resinous warmth, maple sap threading through with a specific sweetness that is more bark than syrup. Indonesian patchouli and Atlas cedarwood in the base are the forest itself: dark, dense, and persistent. This is what the title promises.
