Why We Carry This
Roses Vanille is Mancera's most direct composition and that directness is its quality. The rose at this concentration, combined with vanilla's warmth and patchouli's earthiness, creates a full and genuinely satisfying result. No hidden complexity, no structural innovation, just excellent material choices executed without apology.
Character
Accords: Rose, Vanilla, Floral, Sweet, Fruity, Gourmand
Perfumer: Pierre Montale
Launched: 2013
Roses Vanille opens with rose and bergamot, and the rose here is the composition's protagonist rather than a supporting element: full, warm, slightly sweet, the kind of rose that occupies space rather than decorating it. Jasmine in the heart deepens the floral accord, and vanilla arrives in the base without surprising anyone because the rose's sweetness has been building toward it. Patchouli and sandalwood give the vanilla a warmth and earthiness that keeps the composition from becoming simply a flower-sweet accord. The name is the fragrance; the fragrance earns the name.
