French Leather
Aldehydes in the opening give French Leather an immediately recognizable quality, soapy and bright in a way that reads as classically Parisian. Peach softens the brightness before iris and jasmine take the heart, the leather here functioning as a base material under the florals rather than the protagonist. Sandalwood and amber in the base give the finish a warm, smooth quality that wears for the full day. It is the most refined entry in Memo's leather series.
Why We Carry This
French Leather shows Massenet calibrating the same core material for a different cultural register entirely. Where African Leather is raw, this is dressed: jasmine and iris placed above the leather, aldehydes giving the opening that Parisian classicism. The contrast between the two is the argument for carrying both.
