Honey Dragon
Honey as a fragrance note can collapse into sweetness or push toward the animalic, and Massenet positions Honey Dragon closer to the latter. Saffron and black pepper in the opening give the honey a metallic, spiced quality before it emerges in the heart alongside labdanum, which deepens the resinous undertone. Rose and jasmine add warmth without sweetening the arrangement further. Oud in the base sits under the amber register, dry and present, giving Honey Dragon a finish that leans darker than its name suggests. Rich and distinctive.
Why We Carry This
Honey Dragon represents Memo Paris moving into darker territory, and Massenet's decision to build the honey note against saffron and labdanum rather than vanilla keeps it from the gourmand category. The oud-amber base gives it the seriousness that oriental honey fragrances rarely achieve. One of the strongest Memo releases since the leather collection.
