Why We Carry This
Irish Leather is the most unexpected entry in Memo's leather collection. The violet-iris heart placed above a cool, green leather is a structural decision that most houses would not make, and Massenet makes it work. It is the leather fragrance for clients who say they do not like leather.
Character
Accords: Leather, Green, Aromatic, Woody, Earthy, Fresh
Perfumer: Alienor Massenet
Launched: 2012
Ginger and pink pepper open with a cold-bright clarity that suits the climate it references: this is leather for cooler air, the kind that smells like tweed and rain-damp stone rather than saddle and dust. Violet and iris in the heart give the leather a purple, powdery framing that is unusual in the genre and immediately identifiable as Irish Leather. Cedarwood and vetiver in the base are dry and clean, the finish spare and lingering.
