Why We Carry This
Every Montale shelf needs counterweight to the oud-heavy and amber-forward entries. Boise Fruite is the clean, woody-citrus option in the range, the one clients reach for when they want the material quality of the house without the projection of the Arabians line.
Character
Accords: Fruity, Woody, Floral, Sweet, Fresh, Amber
Perfumer: Pierre Montale
Launched: 2009
Boise Fruite is Montale at its most understated. Lime and bergamot open cleanly, violet leaves adding a slight green shadow that keeps the citrus from reading as cologne-generic. Mandarin leaf rather than mandarin fruit is the quiet choice that defines the composition's register: aromatic, slightly bitter, more green than sweet. Vetiver grounds the base alongside Mysore sandalwood, the drydown settling into a clean woodiness that carries none of the house's usual resinous weight. For the Pierre Montale catalog, this is practically minimalist.
