Why We Carry This

Among Montale's lighter, floral-forward releases, Bubble Forever has better construction than the name suggests. The neroli-to-rose transition is well-executed, and the toffee-amber base keeps it from the weightlessness that makes most sweet florals forgettable after an hour.

The neroli is the first thing, and it is very forward, a bright white-floral citrus that fills the opening before the pear note softens it. Bubble Forever reads younger than most Montale releases without tipping into self-consciously sweet territory, because the Bulgarian rose and orange blossom in the heart give the composition real floral structure. Cinnamon in the mid-stage is the quiet spice that prevents the toffee base from going purely dessert. The amber and musk drydown is warm and held close to skin.
