Roses Elixir
Rose and strawberry arrive together, the berry giving the flower a juice that most rose fragrances avoid. Pierre Montale keeps the citrus accord running underneath, tangerine and citruses keeping the composition bright even as the jasmine and African orange flower add tropical density to the heart. Patchouli and amber work in the base, but gently; this is not a heavy composition. The musk that finishes it is clean and skin-close, which allows the rose-strawberry accord to remain the dominant impression well into the drydown. More summer afternoon than evening.
Why We Carry This
Roses Elixir is Montale at its most approachable, the house's oud-heavy signature absent in favor of a fruity rose that performs consistently across seasons. The strawberry-rose combination could easily become cosmetic; Montale keeps it grounded with patchouli and amber. It's a reliable entry point for clients new to the house and a crowd-pleasing choice for those who want a rose that doesn't take itself too seriously.
