Santal Wood
The opening of Santal Wood is more aromatic than spicy despite the cardamom and black pepper in the top, juniper and sea water giving the spice accord a slight green-coastal lift before sandalwood takes over in the heart. This is Mysore sandalwood in treatment: creamy, warm, and durable rather than thin or synthetic. Cedar adds structural dryness that keeps the composition from reading as purely soft, oakmoss in the base adding the slight animalic depth that connects the nutmeg and pepper of the top to the wood of the drydown. Well-paced, quietly assured.
Why We Carry This
Sandalwood fragrances stand or fall on the quality of the material treatment. Santal Wood earns its position because the spice opening and oakmoss base give the sandalwood heart a three-dimensional context that cheaper constructions skip. Dependable longevity, genuinely unisex in character.
