Why We Carry This
The New Rose is a rose composition that earns its fruit notes. Rather than softening the Bulgarian rose with sweetness, the raspberry-black currant opening deepens it, and the ylang-ylang heart gives the fragrance a dimension that classic rose soliflores rarely achieve. Well-constructed for a house that does dozens of rose interpretations.

Accords: Rose, Floral, Clean, Powdery, Fresh, Musk
Perfumer: Pierre Montale
Launched: 2019
Four fruit notes in the top and none of them overwhelm the Bulgarian rose, which is Pierre Montale's quiet achievement here. Raspberry and black currant give the opening a dark-fruit richness, peach adding a softer sweetness before lemon cuts through and clears the stage for the rose heart. Ylang-ylang beside the rose adds a creamy, slightly tropical register that keeps the composition from reading as purely classical. Lily of the valley threads through the mid-stage with freshness, and the sandalwood-vanilla base gives the drydown a warmth that holds the rose in memory for hours.
