Seminalis occupies a position in our catalog that no other fragrance fills: genuinely animalic, built with civet at a meaningful concentration, and uninterested in broad approval. Gualtieri's use of labdanum and patchouli around the civet base gives the composition structure rather than just shock. For the client who finds most niche fragrances still too polite.

Gualtieri named this after the concept of origins, and the fragrance references the body without euphemism. The opening is brief: bergamot and aldehydes give a fleeting brightness before patchouli and labdanum take the heart into resinous, earthy territory. Leather and incense deepen the mid-stage, and civet in the base is the material that most perfumers would moderate significantly. Here it is present at a level that makes the composition animalic in the original sense: warm, skin-close, and visceral. Amber and benzoin give the drydown a sweetness that makes it wearable rather than merely provocative.
