Safanad
Safanad opens with bergamot and peach alongside pink pepper, a fruit-citrus combination that gives the rose heart a warm arrival context. Iris and magnolia in the heart give the rose a cooler, slightly creamy dimension, the magnolia's lemon-floral quality brightening what might otherwise be a straightforward floral construction. Sandalwood and ambergris build the base with vetiver adding a quiet earthiness that grounds the whole composition. A feminine fragrance with the house's signature material generosity and a quieter ambition than most PdM releases.
Why We Carry This
Safanad demonstrates Parfums de Marly working in a lighter register than their most theatrical releases: the magnolia-iris combination gives the rose heart an elegant dimension, and the ambergris-vetiver base is well-proportioned for the gentle opening. A refined feminine from a house known for more assertive compositions.
