Erba Leather opens with leather and grass simultaneously, a combination that smells like the interior of an old riding jacket left on a wooden peg: the grass and hay note has been absorbed into the leather rather than sitting beside it. Iris and violet give the dry-earthy combination a powdery depth, and tobacco in the heart deepens the hay note into something that smells genuinely aged rather than freshly applied.
