Karine Chevallier and Stephane Humbert Lucas layer osmanthus and jasmine sambac into the heart alongside clary sage and vetiver, building a complexity that unfolds slowly. Dates and tobacco in the base introduce sweetness that is dark rather than accessible, and labdanum, birch, and saffron pull everything toward the resinous end of the spectrum. A 2025 composition that is serious and theatrical in equal measure.

The incense-tobacco-date architecture is demanding, but the spearmint-davana entry point gives it an accessibility that some of the house's heavier works lack.
