Velvet Fire Yang opens with lavender and clary sage in a clean, aromatic accord that coriander sharpens before saffron arrives and the composition's real character emerges. Tobacco and cypress in the heart give the saffron a dark, resinous context, the fire element of the house's philosophy felt most literally here. Oud in the base deepens the tobacco-saffron accord into something genuinely smoldering, tonka bean softening the drydown with a warmth that white musk extends close to skin. The velvet of the name is in that base: smooth, dense, and persistent.
