Why We Carry This

My Pearls was created in honor of the Gran Teatro La Fenice, and the mahonial-sylkolide base is the technical commitment that makes the Venetian heritage reference credible rather than decorative. The cassis-violet leaf opening is distinctive, and the pearl-accord base is unusual enough to justify the shelf position.

Violet leaves and cassis in the opening of My Pearls create a characteristically Venetian contrast: the leaf note is green and slightly watery, the cassis adding dark-fruit sweetness that pink pepper sharpens. The white flower and rose heart is the composition's center of gravity, lily of the valley threading through with a freshness that keeps the bouquet from becoming dense. Mahonial and sylkolide in the base are materials designed to evoke the warmth and translucence of actual pearls, tonka bean and sandalwood giving them the underlying warmth that makes the association work.
