Coffee and caramel in the opening of Chi do not promise what the heart delivers: a dark core of Cambodian and Indian oud alongside white truffle and patchouli, earthy and unexpected beneath the sweet opening. The contrast is deliberate and it works because Paolo Terenzi gave the oud enough sweet framing to prevent it from reading as medicinal. Cypriol in the base adds a smoky, woody depth that tonka bean and vanilla flowers warm over hours. Chi is the Luna Stars entry that most rewards patience.

Chi is an unusual construction: an oud-truffle-patchouli base dressed in a coffee-caramel opening that makes it more accessible than the ingredient list implies. The cypriol in the base is the structural element that elevates it beyond the gourmand-oriental category.
