Clary sage and lavender open with an herbal sharpness before bitter almond takes the center and reframes everything. Leather and orris sit together in the heart, the iris root pulling the leather toward something cooler and more powdery than expected. Tonka bean and cashmere in the base keep the composition soft at the edges, amber giving it enough warmth to make the almond read as gourmand rather than cosmetic.

Why We Carry This

Maisondieu built a fragrance that manages to be both hedonistic and restrained, which is harder than the name suggests. The bitter almond and leather pairing is the reason this works as more than a provocation.
