Soleil Brûlant
Helichrysum is not a note that appears in many fragrances, and Antoine Lie uses it here as the centerpiece: a golden, faintly curry-honeyed material that gives Soleil Brulant its distinctive warmth. Petitgrain and neroli open with a sunlit brightness before the helichrysum takes over, rose and jasmine adding fullness without pulling focus. Benzyl benzoate in the base gives the finish a balsamic quality that amber and sandalwood then extend into a warm, dry drydown that holds through the afternoon.
Why We Carry This
Soleil Brulant is built around a material choice most houses would not make. Helichrysum at this concentration is a commitment: warm, herbal, and golden in a way that conventional florals are not. Lie's handling of it alongside rose and benzyl benzoate shows genuine craft, and it fills a gap in our summer inventory.
