Created in tribute to the Black Sabbath guitarist who named one of his custom guitars the Monkey, this composition does not take its brief lightly. Black pepper and cardamom in the opening are heavy and spiced, bergamot providing just enough brightness before oud and leather take over in the heart. Rose is present as a structural element rather than a softening one. Patchouli and amber in the base are dense and sustained, the whole fragrance wearing with the kind of authority that suits both the dedication and the bottle.
