Julien Rasquinet opens Enclave with something unexpected: peppermint and spearmint alongside cardamom and cinnamon, cool and warm in the same breath, the kind of contrast that shouldn't work but does. Olibanum in the heart grounds it in something older and more ecclesiastical, with rose and vetiver preventing it from reading purely as incense. Amber Xtreme and labdanum in the base are Amouage doing what Amouage does: closing a fragrance with the weight and permanence of a sealed room.
