Bond Number One
Bond Number One is the house's inaugural composition, designed to introduce the Bond No.9 aesthetic to the world: clean citrus opening over bergamot and green notes, jasmine and magnolia giving the heart a floral warmth that is elegant without being complicated. Amber, sandalwood, and vetiver in the base provide the warm woody foundation that holds the bright opening in place through a lasting drydown. The number one in the name is the statement: this is where it starts.
Why We Carry This
Bond Number One established the Bond No.9 compositional DNA: accessible citrus opening, warm floral heart, lasting woody base. The composition is clean and well-proportioned, and its role as the house's founding fragrance gives it a historical significance that the quality of the construction supports. The bergamot-magnolia-vetiver arc holds after two decades.
