Greenwich Village
Cardamom and ginger in the opening are spiced and direct, bergamot keeping the top from going entirely warm. The composition shifts when leather arrives in the heart, iris and violet softening its edges into something closer to suede than rough hide. Vetiver and oakmoss in the base carry the chypre character through, amber providing the warmth that holds the composition together in the drydown.
Why We Carry This
Greenwich Village is the house's most considered leather, built around a chypre-oakmoss base that positions it apart from the bottle-driven releases in Bond No. 9's broader catalog. The iris-leather heart is the structural move worth returning for.
