Chelsea Nights
Cacao and hazelnut in the opening are the obvious bait, but saffron is doing the real work, pushing the sweetness sideways into something drier and more complex. Turmeric and sesame in the heart are unusual enough to catch even experienced noses off guard, adding an almost savory dimension that the rose alone couldn't hold. Miroslav Petkov then builds a base of oud, myrrh, suede, and amber that settles in slowly, making Chelsea Nights the kind of fragrance that reads entirely differently at hour six than it did at the first spray.
Why We Carry This
There are gourmand orientals and then there are gourmand orientals that know when to stop being sweet. Chelsea Nights belongs to the second category, and Petkov's turmeric-sesame pivot is as good a reason to carry a Bond No.9 as any we've found.
