Casablanca Lily

Top notes: Gardenia, Plum
Heart notes: Indian Tuberose, Carnation
Base notes: Palisander Rosewood, Honey
Why We Carry This
It earned its spot for the carnation and rosewood combination in the base, a way of doing white floral that reads more like temple incense than a typical perfume counter test strip.
Character
Accords: White Floral, Honeyed, Spicy, Fruity, Woody, Oriental
Perfumer: Jérôme Epinette
Jérôme Epinette paired tuberose with carnation instead of the expected vanilla or musk, giving this white floral a spiced, clove-like edge that keeps it from turning cloying. Gardenia and plum open soft and a little fruit-forward, but honey and palisander rosewood in the base pull it toward something darker and more resinous than a typical lily solo.
Byredo built the Night Veils line as an extrait, so expect real weight and long wear from a small amount. Tuberose this dense reads mature; skip it if you want something breezy or office-appropriate.
