Strange Heavens Out Of The Blue
Céline Herbette and Kamila Lelakova built Out of the Blue around a roasted coffee and anise opening that is darker than the bottle implies. There is something almost bitter in the first minutes, before orange blossom and jasmine soften the edges and shift the register toward sweetness. The base is cocoa, vanilla caramel, and smoke, dense and slow-burning, the kind of finish that outlasts the occasion. Part of the Strange Heavens chapter, designed with artist Domingo Zapata's panda motif on the bottle.
