La Petite Robe Intense
La Petite Robe Noire EDT is a composition built around the contrast of sour cherry and almond, two notes that occupy adjacent sweet-and-sharp territory that Delphine Jelk uses as the opening's primary tension. Bergamot and red berries add brightness before rose and Taif rose arrive in the heart alongside tea, the floral-aromatic combination keeping the composition from resolving into pure gourmand sweetness. Patchouli and iris in the base give the cherry-almond accord a structural seriousness, licorice and anise adding a complexity that makes this version distinct from the EDP's richer register.
Why We Carry This
The EDT version of La Petite Robe Noire is underrated within the line. The cherry-tea-rose construction is lighter and more aromatic than the EDP's richer treatment, and the iris-patchouli base gives it a structural quality that suits daytime wear without sacrificing the composition's characteristic playfulness. Jelk at her most deft.
