Masa
Mirabelle plum is the opening note that most people will not immediately identify but will register as warm and ripe, grapefruit and ginger giving it a bright, slightly sharp contrast. Patchouli and cardamom take the heart alongside petitgrain, a combination that is aromatic and slightly green rather than the sweet-floral direction the opening might suggest. Vetiver and guaiac wood in the base are dry and smoky, violet adding a powdery note that amber and cedar then anchor into a lasting, warm finish.
Why We Carry This
Masa is Kajal's most structurally unusual composition: a mirabelle and grapefruit opening arriving at a patchouli-vetiver-guaiac base through a cardamom-petitgrain heart. Heimgartner's use of violet in the base alongside guaiac wood is the detail that gives it a distinctive finish. For clients who want Kajal beyond the fruit-floral framework of Lamar or Dahab.
