Liquide (2020)
White florals at full volume, aldehydes giving the opening a radiance that the green notes keep from going too soapy. Tuberose and jasmine in the heart are the compositional spine, orange blossom and ylang-ylang adding the indolic depth that turns white florals from bright to complex. Frossard does not soften the ylang: it is warm and slightly heady, and the benzoin in the base carries its warmth into the drydown alongside the white musk. The flower-petal glass stopper is an appropriate object for what is essentially a study in concentrated white floral materials.
Why We Carry This
Les Liquides Imaginaires positions each fragrance within a philosophical framework, and Ame De Fleur's Soul of the Flower concept is matched by a heart that takes tuberose and jasmine seriously rather than using them as ambient texture. The benzoin base gives the white floral intensity something warm to settle into. Not for the faint-hearted in the best sense.
