7 Elixir opens with red pepper that is assertive and dry, patchouli arriving almost immediately to ground the spice in something earthen and substantial. This is the Extrait concentration of the original Loewe 7, and the difference is felt in the patchouli heart: where the EDP is warm and smooth, the Elixir is dense and resinous. Cistus incanus is the Loewe Accord, the house's proprietary note built from Spanish Rockrose wildflower, and it runs through the whole composition as a mineral-resinous thread that amber deepens in the drydown.
