The cherry opening is sharp and slightly tart rather than sweet, and the ink accord that arrives alongside it in the heart adds a cold, papery quality that pushes the cherry note into unexpected territory. Iris and violet give the composition a powdery register, heliotrope adding a warm almond sweetness in the mid-stage. Benzoin and amber in the base soften the accord into something warmer and more intimate, the ink quality fading last.
