Pine and cypress open with a resinous, almost medicinal sharpness before the fir and birch leaf add green dimension. Urs Castelletti keeps the forest character running through the entire composition: guaiac wood and cedar in the heart alongside patchouli and sandalwood that gradually warm the cold green opening. Rose in the middle sounds incongruous until you wear it, where it gives the composition just enough living warmth to stop it from reading as cleaning product. Leather and vanilla anchor the base, dryer and less sweet than expected. This smells like the inside of a timber cabin in early spring.
Why We Carry This
RedColorado has a specificity that most woody masculines lack. Castelletti committed to the forest-green conifer accord without compromising it with excessive sweetness, which is the easy out most brands take. The leather-vanilla base gives it wearability in the real world. We carry it for clients who want something distinctly masculine and outdoors-adjacent that doesn't smell mass-market.
