Aqua Vitae
Grapefruit, lemon, and mandarin in the opening read more like pressed citrus skin than squeezed juice: there is a waxy, slightly bitter quality that petitgrain extends into the heart. Hedione gives the mid-stage a radiant lift, the kind of molecule that makes a composition feel like it is catching light. The base is intentionally spare, musk and a hint of wood giving just enough structure for the citrus to descend into gracefully. Aqua Vitae is designed to wear like a second skin, and on warm skin it does exactly that.
Why We Carry This
Hedione is the tell in Aqua Vitae: Kurkdjian understands radiant molecules better than almost anyone working today, and this is his citrus showcase. It fills the gap between a light summer spritz and a proper fragrance, and that is not an easy register to occupy well.
