Jazz Club

Jazz Club opens on pink pepper and lemon with a little neroli, bright for about a minute before the rum arrives. Clary sage and java vetiver sit in the heart and keep the sweetness in check. Tobacco leaf, vanilla, tonka and styrax carry the base, and that is where it stays: cigar smoke, spilled liquor, old leather.

Aliénor Massenet built it to smell like a Brooklyn jazz bar at closing time, and it genuinely does. Very few fragrances at this price have that clear a point of view.
