Aoud Line
Pink pepper in the opening of Aoud Line is a sharper, more floral spice than black pepper, and alongside bergamot it creates a brighter top than Mancera's heavier oud compositions. Iris enters in the heart alongside the rose, its powdery, slightly rooty quality moderating the oud's density and pushing the composition toward something more refined than the name's straightforward oud-emphasis might suggest. Vetiver in the cedarwood-amber base adds a dry grassiness to the drydown, the overall finish being warmer than clean but lighter than most oud-forward releases.
Why We Carry This
Aoud Line is Mancera's attempt at a more accessible oud, and the pink pepper-iris construction in the opening and heart is what makes the argument credible. The vetiver base gives it a dry, refined quality that the heavier Mancera ouds do not attempt. This is the oud for clients who find most oud fragrances too dense.
