Cinque Terre opens with lemon, rosemary, and cardamom: the Italian Mediterranean coast translated into an aromatic citrus accord that is sharp, herbal, and entirely specific to place. Sea salt and fig leaf arrive in the heart alongside cedar and pine, the saline-green combination evoking the terraced cliffs of the Ligurian coast above the water. Oakmoss and labdanum in the base are the stone and soil of those cliffs, tonka bean and sandalwood adding warmth that holds the coastal composition through an evening. Named for five villages. Built for all of them.

The sea salt and fig leaf heart in Cinque Terre is the note combination that anchors the whole composition in a specific geography. Mancera's 2024 release uses the Italian aromatic tradition without resorting to cliches, and the oakmoss-labdanum base gives the Mediterranean opening a structural depth that sun-and-sea fragrances often lack.
