Iberian Leather
Cistus and labdanum carry the Iberian sun in them: warm, slightly herbal, faintly medicinal in the way that dried lavender fields smell from a passing car window. The leather here is sunbaked and resinous rather than polished, and labdanum deepens it toward something bordering on incense. Patchouli and vetiver in the base are earthy and persistent, amber giving the finish a warmth that holds long after the initial brightness of bergamot and pink pepper has passed.
Why We Carry This
Of the four Memo leathers we carry, Iberian Leather is the most regionally specific in its atmosphere. Cistus is the tell: it is a plant native to the Iberian peninsula, and Massenet uses it with intention. The labdanum-patchouli base gives it a richness that justifies the price.
