Why We Carry This
Marfa sits outside the cultural geography of the other Memo leathers and that is exactly why it earns shelf space. The sage-suede combination is the most original accord in the collection, and the elemi opening sets a register that nothing else in our inventory shares.

Elemi resin in the opening gives Marfa a slightly citrus-sharp, coniferous quality that bergamot does not fully domesticate. The Texas high desert has that quality: bright and dry, with something resinous underneath. Sage and suede in the heart are a rare pairing, the herb giving the leather a gray-green, dusty quality that suits the landscape the name invokes. Cedarwood and vetiver in the base are clean and arid, amber providing the only warmth in a composition that mostly runs cool and spare.
