Why We Carry This
One of Montale's earliest releases and still one of the most honest representations of the house's amber philosophy: layered, resinous, and built for longevity. The cardamom-to-patchouli arc is the kind of construction that holds up across decades without feeling dated.

Blue Amber starts cooler than the name suggests, grapefruit and cardamom keeping the opening citrus-bright before the amber heart opens up with ylang-ylang pushing into something tropical and dense. Jasmine and rose move through the mid-stage without announcing themselves, the ylang carrying the floral weight. Patchouli and benzoin in the base add depth to the sandalwood, and by the drydown the amber dominates in a way that is warm and sustained rather than sharp or synthetic.
