Oolong tea as the primary opening material is a deliberate choice, and Morillas commits to it: the semi-oxidized quality of oolong sits between green tea and black tea, floral and slightly fermented, lemon and bergamot keeping the opening bright. Osmanthus in the heart is the inspired pairing: its peach-apricot floral quality shares a register with the oolong in a way that jasmine and iris deepen without disrupting. Vetiver in the base gives the white woods and cedarwood foundation an earthy, root-deep quality that extends the green character through the drydown. Serene and well-executed.
