Megamare
Megamare, the Great Sea, opens with a seaweed and sea salt combination that is biological rather than cosmetic: this is not the clean marine freshness of mainstream aquatics but something closer to the actual smell of the shoreline at low tide. Algae in the heart gives the ambergris a wet, living quality, iris softening the animalic edge slightly. The base is the composition's thesis: ambergris and musk together with vetiver, the ocean and the body meeting in a drydown that is warm, persistent, and completely unlike anything in the aquatic category.
Why We Carry This
Gualtieri built Orto Parisi to challenge what fragrance could reference. Megamare takes the marine category and removes the safety net: no synthetic sea-breeze accord, no aldehydic cleanliness. What remains is one of the most accurate olfactory documents of the sea as a physical environment. For clients ready for Orto Parisi, this is the right introduction.
