Why We Carry This

Terroni is the most wearable of the Orto Parisi releases precisely because the petrichor-chypre construction has a classical precedent in the earthy chypres of an earlier era. Gualtieri pushes it further with the oakmoss-vetiver density, but the amber base keeps it accessible to clients who want darkness with structure. An important introduction to the line.

Petrichor, the smell of rain on dry earth, is the opening note and the conceptual center. Gualtieri takes that specific moment, soil releasing the oils it stored in drought, and builds a fragrance around it. Galbanum gives the bergamot a resinous, botanical edge before the patchouli and oakmoss heart takes over with a moss-and-root density that is genuinely chypric. Vetiver and labdanum deepen the earthiness further, and the amber-benzoin base gives the composition warmth without removing its dark, geological quality.
