Quentin Bisch layers green apple with nutmeg and saffron at the opening, creating something that reads as spiced fruit without the obvious sweetness usually attached to that description. Davana in the heart is the interesting choice: its slightly boozy, apricot-adjacent quality works with the osmanthus and rose to build a flororiental that has real depth. Opoponax and patchouli close it in that thick, slightly resinous base that PdM does so well, with vanilla adding warmth rather than sweetness.
