Godolphin
Saffron and thyme in the opening are direct and slightly austere, mate adding a tea-like bitterness that cypress sharpens further. Rose and orris in the heart soften the edge without losing the composition's dry, green character. Then leather arrives in the base with authority, vetiver and cedar giving it structure, amber rounding the whole thing into something that wears well past the midday mark.
Why We Carry This
Godolphin is the house's foundational leather, and it holds up against far newer releases. Michele Saramito's saffron-and-thyme entry into a leather-vetiver base is structurally considered and still hard to replicate.
