Royal Earth is The Harmonist's most ambitious composition, the Earth element given a Parfum concentration that makes the other Earth entries feel like preliminary sketches. Elemi and cardamom in the opening are resinous and warm, bergamot adding brightness before the heart opens. Labdanum and rose meet oud in the heart in a combination that is dense and formal, appropriate to the royal designation. Vetiver, patchouli, and sandalwood in the base form a deep, earthy foundation that holds the composition for the full day.
