Liberty has one of the shortest pyramids in the Merchant of Venice range, and the restraint is deliberate. Saffron and thyme open with a spice-herb pairing that is unusual without being abrasive, the aromatic quality of the thyme keeping the saffron's warmth from reading as heavy. White lily in the heart is handled at a volume that is present but not dominant, cedar giving the floral a dry, structural frame.
