Bitter Peach
Blood orange and cognac in the opening are boozy and warm, davana adding a slightly fermented fruit quality that keeps the sweetness from being clean. Peach nectar in the heart reads richer and darker than fresh fruit, heliotrope lending a powdery softness that cade then cuts through with a smoky, tarry note. Benzoin and patchouli in the base anchor the whole composition in a resinous warmth that refuses to resolve cleanly.
Why We Carry This
Bitter Peach is the Private Blend that made peach interesting again. The cognac-cade-patchouli base structure gives it a complexity that separates it entirely from the dessert category it superficially resembles.
